Journaling confirmation without rewriting history
A simple card layout we use in intensives so your notes record what you required before entry — not what you wish you had required.
Hindsight turns every survivor into a planned trade. The journal has to fight that habit.
Before the open
Write the range, the break line, and the evidence you will require. Leave blank spaces for volume note, close location, and retest result. If a space stays empty, you did not have confirmation — whatever the P&L says later.
After the exit
Add only two lines: what matched the card, and what you invented in the moment. Invented rules go on a separate “temptations” list for the next clinic.
Why paper still wins
Several attendees keep a digital blotter and a paper confirmation card. The card is harder to edit after the fact. That friction is the point.
